Advertising on Coded

Coded’s advertising platform is designed to protect your information and privacy while empowering users to have control over the information they share with us. Coded may show ads to you on Coded Market, the Coded Developers dashboard, Coded Analytics, other Coded websites and third-party websites that may not be operated by The Hummingbird Group, Inc.

Information about your devices may be used to serve ads to you, such as:

    • Operating System; and
    • Time Setting; and
    • Internet Protocol Address; and
    • User-Agent; and
    • Preferred Language; and
    • Network Carrier; and
    • Browser Type and Version; and

Information that you have shared with Coded through your Coded account may be used to serve ads to you, such as:

  • Your email address.

Information about how you engage with targeted and non-targeted ads may be used to serve ads to you, such as:

  • The time that a specific ad stays in the viewport of your device; and
  • User-initiated interactions with an ad; and
  • Behavior on landing pages that you may be delivered after interacting with an ad.

We create groups, segments, and audiences of users that share similar device information, behavior, and account information to serve targeted ads. To protect your privacy, we will only serve targeted ads to groups, segments, or audiences that have a membership of over 1,000 users. We may match information that we own about you with third-party service providers.

Information about you that is not used by Hummingbird to serve ads to you may include:

  • Name(s)
  • Address(es)
  • Religious belief(s)
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity
  • Generally sensitive information
  • Information provided in financial forms.

Hummingbird does not sell your information from our advertising platform to third parties. We may at times share information about you from our advertising platform with strategic partners in order to provide products or services to you. Additionally, information about you may be shared with law enforcement officials, revenue services, and other governmental agencies in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA.

From the user profile that you have with any platform operated by Hummingbird, you are able to opt-out of targeted advertising. When you are logged in to any platform operated by Hummingbird, you are not able to opt-out of personalized content unless local privacy regulations require. To request a copy of your data and to control your data collection preferences, go to “Privacy & Data” from the Account Settings page on any platform operated by Hummingbird.

Privacy and Data for Users in the European Union and California, USA

Hummingbird does not sell your personal information. We only collect information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If GDPR or the California Privacy Protection Act applies to you, you are not automatically enrolled into personalized content or targeted advertising.
